Recently named an official provider of City of Florence Web site, Weekend in Florence on-line shopping service provides instant global access to authentic, high-quality Florentine merchandise, including leather goods, marbled paper products, silk scarves and other fashion accessories, art glass and ceramics, and books and interactive CDs on Italian art and history.
It also features Weekend a Firenze Club, a frequent-buyers program extending personalized shopping services and special promotional discounts to members.
Weekend in Florence - Museum reservations
The site also provides tourists the only access to exhibits to important Florentine art museums** without waiting in lines to purchase tickets. For a small fee, travelers who use WAF to make their reservations to selected Florentine museums and events receive an electronic confirmation (online, via email and mobile) of their reservation, which lets them breeze by long tourist lines when they arrive at the attraction.
[** Current museum offerings are Galleria degli Uffizi, Galleria dell'Accademia, Galleria Palatina, Corridoio Vasariano, Museum Archeologico, Museo del Bargello, Capelle Medicee, Museo di San Marco, and Museo di Arte Moderna. For brief descriptions of these museums' offerings, see Weekend a Firenze Reservations Services.]
